The Arts Center of the Capital Region is pleased to announce Critical Forum.
Critical Forum is an immersive experience designed to develop and support career training for professional artists who are committed to their art form and careers, and want to take their practice to the next level. Professional artists can benefit from sustained critical review of their work, especially as it relates to the contemporary art world. The Forum includes critiques by guest curators, artists and gallerists. Lastly, included in the Critical Forum are engaging experiences in New York City to expand our regional dialogue and to look at the work in a greater context. This program is free. All transportation fees are included.
Critical Forum is offered in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts Visual Arts Program (VAP)
- Applications open January 1st through February 1st. *Limited to 10 artists
- Submissions will be selected by a committee of arts professionals.
- All applications must be sent through submittable.com. You will need to create a log-in account with submittable in order to apply. Deadline for this application is February 1, 2020 11:59pm
- Please answer and submit all required documentation. Missing information will be processed as an immediate decline.

All Session will take place in the evening excluding immersive trips.
